About Matthew
Born and raised in Southern California, I am a former Marine with a deep love for life, adventure, and people. My journey has taken me from the beaches of Laguna to the deserts of Wonder Valley, where I continue to pursue a life rooted in creativity, purpose, and connection.
I believe we are meant to fully live the lives we’ve been given, and for me, painting is the truest expression of that calling. Through art, I stay connected to myself, to God, and to the stories that make us human.
Every painting is an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and find meaning in the world around us. My hope is that my work inspires others to do the same.

All canvases are hand made and frames are not only handmade by the artist, but they are highly curated for each individual work.

Sky Fire Ranch
Sky Fire Ranch is a five-acre artist homestead located in Wonder Valley, California, just outside Joshua Tree National Park. It is where I live, create, restore, build, and dream. Many of the paintings on this site were conceived and created here, inspired by the beauty and solitude of the Mojave Desert.
